Intel HD Graphics
I was wondering if anyone was getting the Steam version of KOTOR II to work with Intel integrated graphics? There have been reports of some having success with the Steam version of the game.

My computer currently has Intel HD graphics 4000. I know that most people having trouble have HD 3000, but was also wondering if other have had success with this chip or any mods they had to insert into the game file to allow for play.

i have intel hd 3000, 4gb ram, and intel i3-2330m on my laptop and it plays just fine
thank you sir
That's weird since it shouldn't work on intel cards :S I have intel hd 3000 and it have never worked for me. Many people have the same issue and the all have an intel card. So really you shouldn't buy it. And I want a refound.
I have Intel HD 3000 graphics, it's fine if you replace a file called mss32.dll in the install directory. Surprisingly enough I can actually run it on high settings. Still have the random desktop crashes though.

weird...when I had a computer with HD 3000 and had replaced the file, the game still never worked. I was wondering if there had been any changes in the behavior with this new Steam version and the new HD 4000

Intel HD 3000 is the equivalent of an NVidia GeForce 610m so it's is not that bad but not that good either (for modern game that is), that is why it could run the game without any issue
Thread's old, but whatever. Anyone here know how to run the game fullscreen with Intel HD Graphics 3000 series without it crashing? Because that would be great.

Fine is very subjective I suppose.

The post you have quoted is over 4 years old. That wasn't a particularly poor spec for a laptop then and certainly not to run a game that was eight (now over twelve) years old.

I not had chance to go on it to test it for fixes but try compatibility mode with admin rights. Try xp service pack 3

unfortunately that didnt work, im really bummed. it ran pretty fine first time around.
it crashes right after obsidian intro.
maybe this is something related to fullscreen/windowed or resolution?
edit: actually thats exactly what this is. tried changing FullScreen=0 at [Graphics Options] in swkotor2 and game launched. now the problem is i have to do this everytime when launching the game, running it in windowed and then alt_enter to go fullscreen. its no big deal, but ive read somewhere here game still keeps crashing when playing video-movies from the game.

Ya that would do it cause game not detecting video ram from the graphic card I assume. (Had another game do same thing fixed it by patch). Disable buffer thing in options and shadow thing and put vsync on reboot see if it works. Also you know you can go into the config I think and ajust what it does there?
