And in the swkotor2.ini, under [Graphics Options], do you have DisableVertexBufferObjects=1 set?
I've heard that can cause immediate crashes if it's not set to DisableVertexBufferObjects=1.
If that's not it, you might experiment with turning off the Frame Buffer Effects (under [Graphics Options] change Frame Buffer=1 to Frame Buffer=0).
I've tried running it in windows xp compatibitly pack 2 and 3 and nothing changed apun launch it crashed even with the disablevisualvertox on or off.
Yeah it was newest update, and its your choice there no telling if the game will be updated again.
If you think it's the update that's doing it, they do have an option to use the "legacy pc" option.
I don't remember the exact procedure, but you can add a certain command on the Betas tab, which will give you the original version of the game (before Aspyr's update).
Right click on kotor II and clikc on properties on tab to the far right you'll see the pegacy pc option. I tired that, and its confimed that the update caused this.
