is the update out yet?

Needs a multiplayer sandbox mode as well. My brother and I bought this several months ago because we loved the concept. the multiplayer was not worth it. If they can add some form of meaningful mutliplayer co-op I will reinstall and play it. Otherwise this was a total waste of money.

We are still in beta testing, as soon as we release the free content update, we will announce it here and steam will download it automatically.

We added new multiplayer combat maps, coop and vs mode.
Multiplayer sandbox mode will not be part of this update, but this feature is on our list. So stay tuned, we are listening to your wishes...

Great news that the game is being updated to provide players with more enjoyment from the game. Please consider porting the controls over from the 360, this would allow the game to be presented on steam big picture making it more attractive to those of us who have gaming rigs built for steam big picture mode.

I have this game but yet to play it, if we can choose a godfather I'd love the ability to choose El Presidente as a fun Tropico crossover DLC pack.

The controls are ported, you can try them in the beta, though it's already almost over now. :)

Congratulations on the content update! Im excited to try this game knowing it has controller support. Hope this game gets a big bounce in sales from the content update and being on steam big picture, that is closest thing to a relaunch a game can get. Thanks Omerta Community for providing the devs feedback during beta to make a fun game, its such a great idea I just cant wait to play it!! Thanks devs and beta testers!!!

Yes the controlls have been ported and man do I wish they hadn't. They are INCREDIBLY annoying. The whole interface has changed - information is in different places, combat information is scrolling over 60% of the screen rather than just a small box in the corner, etc. and I can't even find a way of opening the jobs screen without using the controller to do it (right trigger + X? Really? For the screen I use the most in the whole game?).Just because I have a controller plugged in (because I like using it for games where it actually makes sense) I necessarily HAVE to use it? What the hell is going on here? The interface was great for mouse and keyboard - infinitely better than the hilarious clunkiness of using a controller. Why am I forced to physically disconnect the controller in order to have this game be playable now? I even tried disabling the controller in the device manager - even then it launches the game with the annoying controller interface.. I don't think I've ever hated an update to a game quite so much.
