If you're using a PS3 controller to play a PC version of F1 2012 on Steam, you should be using some form of software that receives the inputs from the controller and adjusts them depending on either the standard default settings or the customized settings made by the user, I.E, you.

In which case you will need to make sure that the current settings you have set translate to the correct functions to the in game settings. For example, your issue may be caused by the camera adjustment button being mis-wired to the accerlate button, causing the cameras to randomly toggle during gameplay. There are numerous resources on the internet for whatever software you are using, and often, (from my own experience) with software that contains options to transmit the data to either a PS3 or Xbox Controller, the Xbox controller is more accurate due to many games on Windows supporting the functionality of that particular product.

If this is not the case, it could be either a faulty PS3 controller, USB lead, USB slot, currupt game data or issues with your drivers. If you could expand on the situation further for more details, it's more likely you'll recieve an increased number of responses with suggestions to resolve the issue.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help,

Best of luck,
