Played.. Hated.. Deleted!

As a fan of racing games as a whole, everything from GT-R to DIRT/GRID, Gran Turismo and Race Drivers of old. This game is literally not fun in any way. it's so sheepish in it's handling mechanics it forgets to be a "game" in any way. I tried it with all assists and with none neither gave me a truly "fun" experience... Back to GRID I Guess until GRID2 releases...

If you think grid has better physics than this you need your head examined... grid is an arcade racer- plain and simple..

if you want real physics get GTR2, Race07, NASCAR2k3, rfactor(1 and 2)... those have real physics models... nothing from codemasters does.

I am confused as to where your opinion becomes fact?
I simply stated this game's physics offer no true FUN in them.
Not once did I mention GRID has "better" or "realistic" handling physics. I did however state that
GRID is more enjoyable overall and far less confusing in it's execution.

I will be going back to GRID as it is actually fun to play unlike this game.
If you read my post you would know this stuff and look less foolish in your post defending against opinions of others. I simply came to relay my distaste for the game to others which is allowed and my right.

First off. its not opinion its fact.. the sims i mentioned are the benchmark (and you can look them up if you need).. Im sorry you feel differently..

and yes 2012 is frustrating, but at least the car handles like it 'sort of' should.. not like grid or GT...

simeple as that.. sure go back to the dumbed down NFS/Grid/GT games if you want mindless fun, but in terms of race action (and not crash-em up nonsense) 2012 is better.

Im glad you dont like it, and im glad you have your opinion - but dont push your bias as what should be law.

Notice how everyone else here agrees the game is bad, making you the minority who actually enjoys the game. Simple as that Enjoy your bad physics and unbalanced AI. Also the demo is what the game should FULLY represent if it is to entice players to PURCHASE THE GAME, daft is all you are and you are proving it here to us all.

lol based on ym collection, glad you needed to go to my profile to scope things out, obviously you are becoming obsessed. Based on my profile I give you no credit awarded as I have alot more games in the racing category than the ones I FOR ON STEAM.

And yes while I do enjoy the NOT MORONIC SIM GAMES like Grid, Dirt, Flatout, Burnout, Wipeout and Trackmania 2, I also enjoy Forza, Gran Turismo, TOCA Race Driver, and MOST the Simbim titles. Basing your assumption on a players catalog is about as stupid as defending this horrid POS game.

I'm just gonna throw it out there that I actually quite enjoy F1 2012. Sure it's got some problems in terms of AI etc. but I think its a decent game and I'm quite happy with what I paid for it (picked it up on sale so didn't pay full price). There are definitely far better racing games out there though, GRID being one of them. Also @Phil Ciborowski stop being such an arse.

I am going to have to agree with Scotty on this one, F1 2012 is a great game, I don't even have problems with the AI anyway. People have complained in forums that there is no DRS when coming up to back markers or even if you are a back marker, but I don't have that issue, if I am within a second of the car lapping me or the car I am lapping (now that I am a bit better), I have full use of the DRS. Which is excellent, I find that very realistic! The only thing I would want to change is to be able to have control of my car in the pits, just to make it more interesting, especially during wet weather conditions, when the PC takes control of my car it's been known to make me loose control or slide off the track, because even if you turn pit assist off, it still helps you.

Anyway, to sum up, F1 2012 - Great game, I will most definitely pick up the next release!

I do not understand the upheaval of this. The entire point of F1 2012 is to be a simulation not an arcade game, so to complain about the gameplay compared to DIRT and GRID is ludicrous.

why are you all so engrossed in comparing I DID NOT COMPARE THEM. I merely dstated that in my opinion this game IS NOT FUN, GRID is fun. it is not a comparison in any way. they are different styles of racing, and not once did I directly place them side by side and compare. FFS people. read things as they are, not how you want them to be.
