Tryst
Think 1000 times before buying it
This game is super mediocre in every single way. It's an indie to the core. Everything - music, graphics, scenario, voiceovers - are so-so. It's an outdated piece of software without any things to catch the eye. I'm glad I got it for free, so no regrets at all. But for such price it's a total rip-off, like was already said several times. So think, think, think before you buy.

We appreciate your concern for other buyers. We would like to point out that we are, in fact, an Indie developer.

Still, I hope other potential buyers see this and recognize that we can only do so much as an Indie.

Cheers,

The BlueGiant Team

The game is not bad, I played during the Beta, I've already play big publisher games that are much more bad than Tryst ...

There is only one thing which is bad: the price $24.99 = 19.35€ not €24.99!

Hi Vivian:

We overlooked the Euro/Dollar pricing during the Pre-order/Launch. Steam said no to price correction once released. Really sorry about that.

Hopefully you would buy the game when we do the promotion in few months.

Sad to heard that ... The game is in my wishlist, so if the promotion is good I'll buy it ;)

Devs, ya might want to look more carefully at his words before taking him seriously. Sure, he's got more than one sentence there, but the actual meaning is missing. No specifics, no details, just hatred.

There's been a rash in the whole gaming community of trolls who insult a game they've never played for no reason. Must be a culture trend, like disco. And about as lasting.

And of course your words are pure wisdom, because you just said so.

Sorry to be blunt, as I know how being an indie developer is difficult, but in a few months this game will be dead, and rest assured that people (me included) will not buy it.

So unfortunately, you will have Valve/Steam to thank. How come you can't adjust the price of the game while some other games that were badly prices were able to get the correct price ? I wonder. Too bad anyway, but keep up the good work ! We need indie devs with ambition.

Having to create an external account just for a demo is ridiculous, which led me to uninstall the demo right away. Showcase the game, make a tutorial, let the player do some skirmishes. Pure multiplayer demos for RTS games are a total turn-off for me.

Yeah there`s better games out there for the price of this game. And yeah i did play the beta and full "Free Weekend" and was really unimpressed, and the price for it ? o.O hmmmm...

If you'd checked his profile you would have seen he has played 2.2 hours and has 3 achievements, which is most of the time enough to make a judgement of a game. Not that I have played the game yet but I just wanted to comment on you doing the same you are accusing the TS with

To shed some light on the subject I was a bit leery about Tryst at first, but after trying the demo and talking with the devs, I'm glad to be a part of the Tryst community, they truly care about their players, they're active, open to suggestions, hardworking guys, they take your feedback and bug reports seriously and tirelessly work to fix them (I've seen some of the devs and their C.E.O. on as late as almost 10PM their time).

Overall I'd say try the demo, if you like it, you like it, if you don't, you don't. ^_^
