Okay here's something interesting. I look at the games and find that There's No Avernuim 2 or 3. Not even in the SPiderweb COmplete pack....Now skipping 2 and 3 seems well.. like a vey incomplete set to me. and makes me wonder if this is hjust a cheap attempt to regouge some money. Is there a logical explaination?

The reason is Avernum 2&3 are the oldest games and use an older engine. That engine does not work at all with OSX which is Spiderwebs main platform.

2&3 can work with recent windows but there are often issues (as with many GDI games). Hence they are not available on steam to reduce support headaches.

If you can wait Avernum 2&3 will eventually be remade as with Escape from the Pit (remake of the first Avernum).

**It's not such a big deal. Each game is self contained so you can just go 1->4,5,6.

Well technically Avernum is a remake of Exile which I actually had already. Long time customer me. I think I'll prolly wind up waiting then you know so can have a proper complete set.

I think you can get a discount from Spiderweb software directly for avernum 2 and 3 if you've bought Exile 2 or 3 in the past, may need to contact them about it though.

Try GOG, they have Avernum 1-6 and Blades for Avernum, keep in mind the version of Avernum they have is the orginal Avernum 1 and not Escape from the pit and yes they got them working on the mac, granted for 1-3 they had to take the windows versions and run them through Wine but still.
