Doom 3 BFG - Thumbs up!
Just bought it from the Autumn Sale for 15 bucks. I had played the original all the way thru a few years ago. Had to mod it a bit to get the widescreen to work properly. Never bothered to check on any of the user mods as I am happy with the original.

Doom 3 BFG edition adds in controller support and native widescreen. Both standard issues in today's video games. As I now game with a controller, I'm very pleased to see this included. Also nice to see native 5.1 sound mix as I'm playing on my media centre PC.

Great to see the Return of Evil expansion and a couple of brand new levels as well. I checked the included Doom and Doom II out for a bit and was amazed at how well they work with the controller. Never played those so it's nice to finally include them in the library. All in all, with the convenience, Steam integration, slick graphics and 60 FPS, not to mention a rather robust 3D implementation, I'm quite happy with this purchase.

I feel the same as you! I've noticed some screen tearing but I can live with it.

I had screen tearing too until I played with the motion blur a bit. Give that a try.
