How are the Lost Mission levels?
For me this would be the main reason to pick this up I think as I already own all the DOOM games otherwise on Steam. I guess there was some addition or additions to the originals too? Is that right and if so, are they good and worthwhile?

Not sure how I feel about checkpoints for saves. Maybe that would be okay. I heard also the difficulty is dumbed down? Is that correct? Is it very noticeable?

As for the shoulder flashlight, not sure how I feel about that either. I kinda liked it the way it was as I recall. I remember playing it and wondering why people made a big deal complaining it was too dark at the time. It seemed fine to me I remember.

Widescreen everything would be cool. Are even DOOM and DOOM II widescreen??

Rather than getting into all the it sucks, etc. stuff I'd really like to just address the above questions/comments here, especially about how good is the added DOOM 3 levels.

Thanks.

You can play doom and doom 2 widescreen with zdoom and i think there's a way to play doom 3 widescreen too (the proper and original version I mean).

Thanks. I think I might go that route. It doesn't sound like there is anything particularly special about the added content from what I've been reading this morning. I'm still thinking it over though.
