Steam and ZeniMax Media/Bethesda/ID Softworks don't care about their financially challenged customers at all!!!
What frustrates me is that I spent good money on a desktop in 2011 and the DOOM 3 BFG Edition in 2013 only to find out that the esteemed individuals of Steam, ZeniMax/ Bethesda Softworks made the DOOM 3 BFG edition to work on newer model desktops and laptops. To make matters worse I'll lose my job at the end of the year and still have bills to pay. Also the laptop I bought late of 2012 that I played Doom 3 BFG Edition on got fried, and obviously the warranty run out and still there's the money issue to either have it worked on or replaced. Maybe everyone else can fork over money to buy the state of the art desktop/laptop with the best video and sound cards possible, but not people like me. It's very inconsiderate to produce a product that favors people who have the most state of the art computer/laptop with the best audio and video drivers and cards. Also it's very inconsiderate for Steam, ZeniMax Media/Bethesda ID Softworks to alienate their customers who are financially challenged at the moment. Still no help from support of Steam ZeniMax Media/Bethesda ID Softworks either and I tweaked my desktop like crazy and still the same old crash and Unable To Intialize OpenGL error message.
