Why i hate this BFG edition.
Sorry everyone i'm just in rage and i have to write my impressions! (sorry for my English as well)
1) Why the game became so easy? Ok I know: console origin, but this is ridiculous. Marine difficulty is pretty my level in the original. Is hard for me and need practice and reactions, still can be killed in seconds if unaware. In this version i tried to kill myself on marine difficulty by standing still before a machine gunned z-sec. It took him 15 seconds to kill me. LOL. Otherwise the only chance to die by jumping down into the deep.
2) Besides the overall difficulty nerf, some areas were even nerfed more. For a few of these i applause (like ROE's boss, it was insane in the original), but at most i was just glared at the monitor waiting for more action and nothing. Diasppointing.
3) It should goes into the part before but it shocked me so much, i had to write down it separately. In ROE's last level a whole part was taken out. I call it the "Blue columns". This part was absolutely the coolest area in the whole game. You were teleported into a high bluish platform with columns and had to fight against many hellknights and mancubi. It was sure hard but ...but...eh, and they took it out *******!. There is now only a dead end where the teleporter was.
4) Ammunition. This is the worst. In half of the original DOOM3 and nearly all ROE ammunition was in short supply. Had to learn to use all the guns and spare better guns for the big guys. It was part of the scare system to use ammunition wisely.I could never reach maximum shotgun ammo, i never knew it was 320. In BFG nearly after you get a new weapon your ammunition is maxed. The clips gives double amount and i think there are more clips overall. In my calculation for every foe the game gives 3-4 clips of ammunition. BUT WHAT THE HELL FOR? I'm sure even console gamers don't use 24 shotgun or 180 machine gun ammos for 1 poor imp? After some gameplay whenever i saw a clip i started to think to myself 'Not again!'
In overall BFG DOOM 3 is BOOOOOORING!
