People say This version isn't worth it but...
I still bought it and I was wondering if there are others who play this because I want to play some multiplayer

I would love to know as well if the PC community is active to play this. It would definitely tip me over onto buying for sure.

I think PC community is only harsh because they expected a miracle from idSoftware. BFG Edition is faster than the old Doom 3, period. It's the same Doom 3, just seems like it has more ammo/health/etc. But that's what it should have been from the beginning - action, not crawling horror FPS.

Basically, if you want to mod BFG, use it with old mods, then forget it. The game has been released for consoles and for gamers in mind, not modders. I don't believe for a moment idSoftware wanted to give a gift to modders.

If you want to play modernized Doom 3 and RoE and get to play previously unreleased levels (I noticed there is a piece of level in Lost Missions from E3 leaked alpha), and play smoother multiplayer, then get BFG.

My only question is why buy it for PC if you already own it on the console?

i would not mind the horror fps part but yes i can agree with you on that pc people are ♥♥♥♥ed because of slight changes such as smoother and clean graphics, the flashlight being part of the armor always hated switching back and forth between flashlight and gun and even fixin up doom 1 and 2 a bit.anyway as you have pointed out its the same game just polished up.

i've got this game installed on my laptop and i think it is awesome. the graphics are crisp. i like the fact there is a variety of dooms rather then just the one.
