I might pick up this game, need some help
I have a few questions before actually buying the game.

The description says it's the ultimate collection of DOOM games. Does it really contain all classic games and add-ons that you can get on Steam?

- Ultimate DOOM
- Final DOOM
- Doom II
- Master level for DOOM II

The part about 3 is crystal clear, it contains DOOM 3 and 2 add-on packs.

Also, pretty much all topics here are about people who can't get the game to run. Have you all be able to fix the problems? What was the solution? Did it happen to all games? And how new is your gaming computer?

Thanks in advance.

That's what I've been seeing on these forums all the time.. What have you do so far to try and fix it? Driver updates?

Well runs great for me and my wired setup. I'm running it on a A-10 APU in crossfire with a 6670. Runs really smooth. But this is what wrong with PC gaming. There is no way of knowing if the game will run right with every setup.

I did notice that the store page does does not say what version of OpenGL Doom 3 BFG edition uses. I can't imagie that they would use somthing terribly new. But most likely uses the same version that Rage uses.

I am just guessing. But I do know BFG is really running on ID tech 5 and not ID tech 4 like Doom 3 vanilla did. I would guess it would use the same OpenGL version.

I would check your card maker for any known issues running Rage.

Runs great on my end. Try lowering the graphics as well as turning off all of the added graphical features (anti-aliasing). Once I did this my game ran 10x better.

Works fine for me pick it up you will not regret it.
ASUS N-53SV laptop with Windows 7 OS
NVIDIA GT540M (1 GB)
Intel core i7-2630QM (2 GHz)

Works perfectly for me. I highly recommend getting this game if your system matches the minimum specs. Doom II is one of the greatest games ever made and Doom 3 looks great in HD

Thank you all for the replies, especially those who added their specs. I have a similar setup as Craigharding70, so I'll probably pick this up when the summer sales start.
