"Partial Controller Support?"
It's only for Doom 3 and not the others I'm assuming, right?

Do you own the game? If so, try it! Doom 3 BFG should have full gamepad support. Not sure about Doom 1 and 2

I'd love to know if Doom 1 and Doom 2 have controller support with the 360 controller just like with the 360 and PS3 versions. If I can get confirmation of this, I'll buy Doom 3 BFG for sure.

They all work with the 360 controller but you CANNOT REBIND your controls in DOOM or DOOM 2 which is lame because sprint is mapped -- idiotically -- to the left stick button, like Call of Duty or *insert blockbuster cookie cutter FPS here*. The problem is DOOM/DOOM2 require you hold the run key/button, and in a game that requires speed on a regular basis, this is a huge screw up. It just feels really awkward -- you have to hold the stick in as you're using it to move and dodge.

Sprint was the Left Trigger on the Xbox 360, and it was perfect. I don't know why they changed it other than mindlessly attempting to "ease the transition" from modern titles.

I wonder if they tested this setup with people who've *actually played classic DOOM before* -- sigh.

Anyway -- it does work out of the box, provided you can overlook this issue. More of a big deal than the shoulder mounted flashlight everyone is ♥♥♥♥♥ing about (people -- you're on mars)
