Odamex - A Multiplayer Utility - 0.7.0 Released

Odamex is a modified Doom engine that allows player to join servers and play with friends. Supported game modes include cooperative, duel, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag.

The latest version of Odamex is now 0.7.0. Notable improvements for this version include a new "truecolor" renderer, a new announcer, vast improvements to Odalauncher, and so much more! Odamex has always been able to run on many platforms, and now 32-bit and 64-bit binaries are available for improved speed on 64-bit Windows. The Windows installer will automatically install the right package for your version of Windows.

Odamex has no issues running Doom, Doom 2, and NRFTL from the BFG Edition of Doom 3. In fact, Odamex will automatically detect them.

The creation of Odamex was a result of ZDaemon going closed source. Odamex is open source and always will be, as opposed to the closed, closely watched community ZDaemon is.
