CPU usage

i have been looking at the system requirments for this game and see that my CPU is above the max but i still get high useage on my CPU. i have a 2.8 and the max is 2.4. i get about 89 to 90 in CPU usage. i am going to do a malware check in case and see if anything changes. however my CPU is set to 0 to 1 percent of usage when the game is not running. other games i get like 30 to 40 percent and even payday asking for a 3.0 processor i only get 50 percent.

2.0GHz is the minimum allowed for the frequency. I'm running at 4.9GHz a 9370. Try system req lab.

i heard that type of stuff is unrealiable. i even had a dev of a game say that that website is unreliable.

Well a quad version of yours at 3.8 uses about 40%, so you'd probably be on an increase from there I'd say at most between 60-80 because you're running a dual though could be less. I mean 2.0GHz is the minimum everywhere. I'm guessing your Athlon is the Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5800+?

AMD Athlon II X2 240 processor.

I am on old Phenom X3, 2.2Ghz - always stable fps. BFG uses GPU more intensely than CPU (compare to old Doom 3, which was CPU bound)

i kow the guy above siad my CPU is is powerful enough to play it. i had adware that was eating up my cpu so i removed it
