Doom 3 not working.

After I press play it says installing Microsoft VC Redist Package then the game crashes and it says Doom 3 BFG Edition has stopped working.

It is funny because this started happening around the time the game was updated last by ID.

Same here, must only be an issue for certain machines/installations.

Mine has been working just fine for 2 months already.

It is 2 issues from different ends that's effecting selective machines. A) AMD's newest drivers has caused glitched across the new wolfenstein and doom 3 bfg edition. Not sure on Nvidia with that. <.< B) ID sent a picky bug out with the latest update. *face palm*

Yep, but then again no one can ever know how it will turn out. I mean look at Duke Nukem Forever, that game turned out to be a piece of crap and it took over 13 years to release.

Btw just tried my Doom 3 BFG and it crashes for me as well :(
