How's this run on PC?
I heard that at launch that it wasn't so great, and the game just didn't run well in general.

You sure you're thinking of the right game ? Rage was the one that had serious issues at launch . This game ran fine for most people .

At launch Doom 3 BFG game had a lot graphical problems and bugs that kept it from running properly, and was just in general considered a really sloppy port and overall inferior to the original.

I see your point. But isn't that the case for most games nowadays ? . The problems listed in the search are pretty common and happens in most games , nothing unfixable really . But most people can play this one just fine really . So no worries man .

Rage though had some serious problems, mostly with AMD users , most AMd users still cannot play Rage at all today . Worst launch for a pc game I've ever seen lol.

I'm playing BFG edition in Windows 7 64-bit with a GTX 780. Nvidia 3D Vision turned on and it's awesome. I haven't beat it yet but I'm quite close to the end of the first campaign and havent' expirenced a single hickup. I can't recommend 3D for this game enough. I'm convinced 3D is the reason the BFG edition even exists.

It runs very very smoothly on my 5 year old PC. i7, GeForce GTX 470. My monitor lets me run the game at 120hz and it's like butter no matter how much action is going on.

I've decided that BFG Edition just sucks and the original is better in every way except the aging engine.
