To the people who have constantly complained about guns that need to be nerfed.
You got what you asked for. You constantly complained about guns that "need" nerfing when they really didn't. Now the game is pretty much all launchers and machine guns (mostly launchers). Scatter barrels are near pointless now, since they don't do enough damage for a shotgun and are pretty hard to master being accurate with since people are constantly jumping and dodging around. It's a shotgun, it's supposed to blow you away at point blank range. Sure, a charged pulse slug-rifle will one shot a guy, but you have to hit him with it. You can easily be killed through the amount of time it takes to charge, and then it's pretty easy to dodge the projectile. People also say beams need to be nerfed. With a semi-beam sniper, you can kill a guy in four shots. However, you only get four shots before you have to recharge, and then there's pretty much walls all over every map that you can dodge around. Also, it's pretty easy to kill a guy with that gun when you're up close to him. Most guns are alright, but they usually don't stand a chace to a guy that's accurate with a launcher or machine gun.

I think the real problem is that people get killed by others with much more experience than them, and that leads them to think that they just have overpowered guns. Now we're at the point where we might as well not have the huge creation menu.

The only thing that I really think needs to be nerfes is this:

If you're healing somebody, you shouldn't automatically be healed as well since it is pretty hard to kill someone being healed, and then you can't kill the guy healing him because he's being healed as well, and whoever he's healing is going to protect him.

PS: I also feel like the game needs to decide how high you can jump. There are a bunch of times where you will jump over a wall, and then you can't jump over it. Also, it's too easy to roll of fire. I have a launcher that does almost 101 damage, and it can be extinguished by just a few rolls on a direct hit.

i 100% agree with the jumping. I made a post about 3-4 months ago about how this game was mainly bunnyhop, spray and pray. Rob (who does a great job at keeping these forums meaningful by actually reading them and responding to them) said that bunny hopping was an issue and that they would do something to resolve it. that was months ago though and i havent seen much change.

The bunny hopping is a contentious issue.

On one hand, finding a variety of effective play style / loadout combinations like that are fundamentally what Loadout is all all about. On the other hand, it's frustrating to defend against someone who is doing that, and it should be fun from both ends of the gun. Also, when a single combo is too powerful (like that has been at times), it undermines the promise of Loadout, and forces you to use a single weapon/tactic, rather than making meaningful choices.

We're not happy with the current state of that combo, and we're still making changes, with the goal of making it fun for both sides.

The jumping thing is actually a game-mechanic. If you roll then jump you get more air. the game is designed to do that... There is absolutely zero reason to remove this, I hope they never even even consider it. I 100% disagree about the healing thing... Teamwork should always triumph

No talk about removing a roll-jump.

Loadout is a completely different game when you start playing as a team...and a much better one. Unfortunately, most people don't approach it that way. We are working on lots of things to help encourage team play.

As it is, people who play as a team will completely dominate people who don't. No plans on changing that, although matchmaking improvements will keep things more even.

I still like the game, but right now it's pretty much all the same. Launchers and machine guns everywhere with the occasional beam rifle. Hopefully this will be fixed in upcoming patches.

Well.. they certainly nerfed single rocket launcher into the ground.. guess ill have to go back to the triple tesla launcher now. At one hand the "flavor of the month" thing is kinda fun because it forces you to change up .. at the other hand you never really can use the same gun for more then 2 patches as it will be ♥♥♥♥ed up anyway :P
