Spacebux
Really, the random chance Spacebux thing is a pain. Anyone else feel you should get a SMALL income per match and then the bonus spin?

It isn't really fair, as that's the main thing needed for upgrading weapons. I blew through my early access allowance thinking they would keep accumulating based on gameplay and not luck. Now I have a few average weapons and very few spacebucks. Sort of sucks honestly, at least in a game like Blacklight Retribution you can grind your ♥♥♥ off to get enough cred for a weapon build. Sort of defeats the whole purpose of the games "build your weapon" style. I already bought my way in as well so I'm not trying to spend more to add a .21 percent accuracy increase to my weapon through a stock upgrade...

Yeh, they should give you more Spacebux with the bonus wheel. But as PaidGrudge said, I think they're doing that on purpose just to get some more money from the players.

Yeah, that First Spin of the Day sucks too, i got like 50 times in a row only for 75 Spacebuxs.

We are working on improvements to this system. One thing I'd suggest is going for variety, to fill a variety of roles for various game modes. Lots of tier 1 guns is easier than a few tier 3 guns. Once you have a full set of guns, then worry more about making nominal increases to power.

you can dominate with T1 weapons honestly. This isnt you standard MMO where its all about gear.

It's about having an edge. Some players weapons seem OP as hell while some weapons I have or pick up from others are almost useless. It happens. A few more spacebux would help. It's not fun when you're clearing through challenges and earning upgrade points but don't have the spacebux to afford individual parts, let alone build a respec gun - or even purchase a new hairstyle for your character.
Average price of a cosmetic is 1200 shall we say? My spacebux are stuck around 96 for the last 5 logins. There's just no spacebux going around, which makes it feel very much a waste of time playing when every spin is just adding bonus xp to my character, and forcing me into higher ranked matches.

Then I join matchmaking and fight guys who are 30 ranks above me - or more.

Maybe when the game is actully released the people who payed there way in will get income per match, or at LEAST a daily income of space bucks. The stupid sawblade keeps giving me maybe on par per level-up 10 spacebux. THEN i look where the sawblade ALMOST landed. 750. BULL. S.H.I.T.

It makes me sad that you can only get space bucks from the spin i normally only get like 20 space bucks which will hardly buy me anything
insomniacglovin Aug 8, 2013 @ 9:30pm
so i totally agree you they should realize this feels like an EA move to milk our money. or atleast make just outfits cost spacebucks

what we all need to remember is that this is still in the beta this isnt the full game its a taster and we have helped fund no matter what version of the game you bought, i am sure when the full game comes out we will have some sort of advantage whether thats an exclusive wepon or a daily fund of spacebux, eitherway its not perfect, it wont be because its still in beta

It IS IN BETA, and that's the point. There should be better rewards in early access/closed beta so more things become available and tested. What is the point (other than saying you had the priviledge to play the game before open beta(but after closed beta who also got the game free) of paying to get fun extras if you get NO upgrades from said extras, With "over a billion weapon combos" some are bound to be broken, for good and(lets face it, mainly) for bad. But how do you know that Barrel-X doesn't give the damage it should, on gun-Y if you never see it in action.

If it were open beta, your argument would be valid. Who knows though, maybe upon release they will Clear ALL beta data like Defiance did, and refund the in-game money spent, so people can learn from their mistakes...

thats a valid point point but, i guess this is the time for edge of reality to experiment and really take feedback on their daily spins etc, but one thing i can promise is that game devs never forget the people who help fund the game

That isn't always a true statement... but in this case I'm sure they appreciate us early adopters. Orion makes some very valid points. The dev's are slightly backwards in their logic. They're milking our wallets for jumping on board early, and banking on us spending more of our cash instead of giving us the chance to unlock all these toys to give them the feedback that they need... which is why they offer these early access deals to begin with.

The game is about guns and guns and creating guns and yet I've got nothing to show for the hours I've put in. Currenlty, you'd have to focus all your efforts on a single gun to get the most out of the crafting system. That doesn't help with the variety of challenges to complete, and it doesn't support itself either. Things are backwards and need to be turned around.
