Fire and Shock Thoughts
Is it just me or does the fire element feel incredibly underpowered. in terms of general use its almost always better just to use the slug ammo. or perhaps i am not using it right. any suggestions/comments?

Depends. If you use a hit and run/hide tactic.. the damage over time can be quite effective. Head-on-fights are obviously not a good idea unless you can dodge the enemies attacks.

I luv me some fire, with fire you may die, but so will your enemy. You die, then count down 3-2-1 splat there goes your enemy. Its not underpowered its just differant.

IMO, fire is most effective if you lead with it, then switch to a second gun. It can disorient the other player, force them to defense, and multiply follow-up damage until they put it out.

you need to add acid, frozen, skateboard in unreal Tournament,a set of knives, swords, axes, swords Jedi ability to care invisibility, add game modes: every man for himself, the battle for one weapon, mode RAMBO-where one player is a super fight against all buffs / and who kills him gets RAMBO

@Rob After playing many rounds with your strategy, i do see your point, but it still feels like it takes awhile for the damage to tick, might just be me, ill spend some more time experimenting!
Thanks for the responses all!
