Shiiryu, check out some of the guides for tips on gameplay techniques & weaponcrafting. You can find them in the offical forums (http://www.loadout.com/forums), YouTube, and on Steam (click Guides, above).

Also, while you're learning, you can tune bot difficulty down under Options.

Rob, its the weapon power...over-all nerf is needed. No one shot kills. Not even two shot kills. Let the fights play out. Fun is the goal, not pain. People won't give us a second chance, theres too many other games out there.

This kind of stuff is what closed beta is for. Thanks for the feedback. We are planning changes to help with this stuff.

I hate to be that guy who repeats the same complaint, but in my opinion the only thing thats needs a nerf are sniper rifles. Loadout is about the joy of experimenting with guns and seeing what you can build. The problem is, as more people figure out that a decent sniper is an insta-kill weapon, the desire for experimentation is overtaken by the obvious need for a sniper.

I haven't played the game yet because I'm waiting for it to go free to play, but this is a constant complaint that I see whenever I read about this game. I've seen people complain about this saying that it ruins the fun in the game and people even ask that snipers be removed from the game. It seems like the developers should be concerned about this becuase if people aren't having fun then what is there to stop them from deleting the game? Especially so when it becomes free to play, since they won't feel like they lost anything but a little time. The game looks really fun, but this makes me worried that this might be just another free to play game that is extremely unfair towards new players, or maybe even pay to win.

Huh? Having snipers = P2W?

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll definitely pass it on.

I wasn't referring to the snipers when I said that.

It sounds like he's saying the game is very unbalanced as far as weapons go. I've never played the game, so I don't know if he's saying that newer players don't stand a chance against the older players weapons, or if he's saying that players don't stand a chance against people who paid to get certain weapons that players either can't get without paying, or can't get until they spend a lot of time in the game (which would be hard to do if they can't compete with the weapons that the other people have just went ahead and bought). The reason I have this concern is because this is pretty common in free to play games, especially in shooters.

I can agree with some of the people here. Usually when I hop onto a game, most players rock sniper rifles and cage launchers. I would really appreciate it if I wasn't the only one in a lobby with creative weapons.

Dont believe you can pay to get weapons........

I remember the super squishy days... those times were no good, but don't stray too far from them. You still need to be able to hurt people. However, i do agree with listening to these forums. Just make sure that you are implimenting buffs (to the less favored weapons) as well as nerfs (to the more commonly used weapons) to even out the game. I recomend using the tactic that TF2 used recently. Track the ammount of people using certain parts in their guns and try to even out those numbers. Thanks for any consideration

In addition to listening to the forums ( particularly the official forums http://www.loadout.com/forums ), we keep extensive stats on weapon popularity and effectiveness.

Also, as we prototype competitive game modes, we are experimenting with starting games with lower damage, then providing in-match upgrades for power or armor. So far, it feels like a promising improvement.

Now that I have started playing the game, I haven't really seen any of the hugely unbalanced weapons that I hear everyone talking about. Then again, I'm still playing under the noob category so it might be much more different once I get past that.
