New Payload? - Ice and Beer!? [Confirmed or Not Confirmed]
You can see it your self via the weaponcrafting test range at the van.

As you can see at the van, there are actually 7 payloads.
- Slug
- Pyro
- Tesla
- Health
- Juice
- Ice
- Beer

You can look closely by using the scope. But if you have keen eyesight, then you can see it already.

If "Ice" were actually a payload part, what will be the balance of this? Hence the name "Ice" can you shoot other people who were shot by ice shots using pyro shots to remove their buffs?

I don't know if the "beer" payload will actually become official, but I would like to take a suprise at what it does actually.

I don't really know, it's up for the developers to decide this out.

It drunkens the enemies by inverting their control keys.

Ice, or Cryo as it's actually called, has been in in-house testing for some time. I believe it was initially planned to be released with the game but has been constantly held back due to technical issues getting it to work as well as other priorities for a successful transition from closed beta to live. At this time, there's no ETA on when it might see the light of day, if ever. Basically, Cryo shots create structures where you shoot, allowing you to shoot walls and floors and build bridges, cover, or other improvised structures. I would assume it's damage would be rather low as the payload seems to be more for utility than for killing.

This video shows an early tech demo of the payload in action:

A beer payload on the other hand has not been mentioned. After Cryo (if Cryo even happens at this point) there's nothing set in stone though I've heard it's possibly going to be either a Concussion based payload or a Water based payload. I think they've also considered the widely suggested Poison payload as a potential candidate.

Because of the games non-serious nature, I think these two payloads would be great. And as Nequis said, that would be a great effect to have for beer. And possibly if ice temporarily froze you on spot, that would be good to.

I also think Water would make a nice addition, maybe they should go Pokemon with the payloads and also have Psychic, Grass and Rock.

Oh god no. Imagine a beam weapon with that. Everyone would rage so hard.

Maybe that would just be a lasting effect like fire, Like if you get hit, you have to get a medi kit before the effect happens.

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused. That would make it even worse - having the effect until you get a medkit? No way. What if you were in the middle of a fight, quickly blasted them with the beer gun, then annhilated them with a launcher? They wouldn't have time to find a medikit unless there was one right next to them, and then all you have to do would be to blast them for another second. It would make for a lot of unfair fights. Even if the effect only lasted a second or so after being shot, it'd still be super annoying.

The obvious effect of an ice-based payload: slowing down. The devs have explicitly stated that there will be no weapon or equipment designed to reduce or impair a player's mobility. This includes snaring them to a spot for a second or two. This likely includes effects that would distort or inverse controls such as what you guys are coming up with.

Wouldn't a "Rock" payload just be Slug Pulse with boulders instead of spiked metal balls?

Then it doesn't impair their movement but slightly blurs their screen.

beer sounds like a joke...

I'm not sure how "Poison" would be any different than Pyro in terms of gameplay. Or instead of damage, maybe it could be a debuff, basically an anti-Juice.

I'd like to see that Cryo power, but it does seem like a nightmare to code and test.

There are some awesome ideas here, developers take note.

I agree to this.

Poison is a very popular, frequent player suggestion on the official boards. Generally the suggestion is to debuff. These are what normally come up:

100% indirect damage that you can't roll off
Debuff to healing rates; healing would counter poison damage until the DoT is "cured"
Debuff to juicing
Debuff to damage
Ignore shields completely due to the indirect nature
