Not sure I'm trying to win the SPL with Aberdeen with a squad of all Scottish players best place i've got so far is 2nd just can't seem to over take Celtic with this squad=\ and my academy is only producing 3 star potential youth.

Depends. I think a situation like daboos is tough- you'd have to overtake a perennially strong squad that brings in lots of internationals using players from a country that isn't that great. You could absolutely have success with an all Brazilian, Spanish, or Argentinian squad, for example though. It also helps if you have enough money to bring in all the best players from your country
