Kind of like comparing apples and oranges really, but I'd personally say Beat Hazard and Audiosurf are equally good, Symphony isn't quite as good imho. Once you've completed the "story" on Symphony it kind of feels like "endgame" and completing other songs feels quite pointless because of the very few people that play(which means the leaderboards are empty). I really do wish I could say it is as good as Audiosurf and Beat Hazard, I've spent hundreds of hours on both of them and a third game to devote a few hundred hours to again would be great, but I've apparently played about 27 hours of Symphony. If there were statwide leaderboards then it could really improve the game because then there would be something to work towards constantly. I also think there's "something" missing from the game which makes the game feel empty, not sure what that is though...

beat hazard my favorite

Audiosurf

Beat Hazard > Symphony > Audiosurf

Audiosurf gets boring pretty quick. Not that it's bad, I still love it. But Symphony is easily more fun for longer.
But nothing beats Beat Hazard. That crazy, crazy eye destroying game.

Audiosurf is very different than BH, haven't played this one though. Audiosurf is much less about 'combat' or stats or RPG-progression, it's much more arcadey in that sense. But at the same time, the better I became playing Audiosurf, the less I played the music I truly loved - and the more I just played quick, amped up songs because those were more fun to experience.

Personally, I enjoy the arcade-shooter style of gameplay of Symphony and Beat Hazard more then I do the sort of puzzle-like gameplay of Audiosurf. Symphony and Beat Hazard also allow you to build up your ship with upgrades, giving a better sense of progression and addiction. I would try to get all three games eventually anyways though, they are all pretty fun (and cheap).

Beat Hazard
Audiosurf
Symphony

Symphony would have been sec if it wasnt for the bad Library management that alone annoys me enough not to play it much,

Audiosurf hands down. This game gets really boring since you just hold down the mouse button and wait for the song to end. It's somewhat challenging at higher levels, but it does't feel as satisfying as playing Audiosurf and getting all the bonuses. The library managment in symphony is quite poor, it's a pain to go through things over and over to find what you want.

+1, though I will say audiosurf is more fun when your sleep deprived/drunk/high/whatever

Audiosurf is undoubtedly superior. It's just a much more imaginative and fun way to re-explore your music collection.
However, it must be said, both programs suck at basic music navigation. Clunky interfaces, annoying menu music, long load times between songs --- I just feel like there's gotta be a better way.

Audiosurf is the best relaxing trance inducing rythym roller coaster i've played on steam.

Beat Hazard is more like Geometry Wars 2. Twin stick shooter with background music that doesn't sync well with the music.

Havn't played symphony, but from the trailer it looks terribly stale.

Most of the fun is in trying new weapon configurations and finding the best config for every song. This can be a bit difficult if you have large and diverse music library.

Just like in Audiosurf you can get bored very quickly if you only play Mono characters and listen to only few genres of music. Speaking of which, I still need to learn how to play DV and Vegas...

wat? Beat hazzard scales well on all the songs and the atmosphere and graphics intensity follows the song's, saying it doesn't sync well is lies.

also don't judge a game by the trailer, those games go beyond the trailer, it's about experiencing them especially with your own music and mood.
