Song length limits
Why do we have to have limits on how short/long a song is?

I was wanting to play a song which is 1:28 long but I couldn't play it as the limit was 1:30 which is really annoying.

I think it'd be great if the devs removed such limitations as it would allow us all to play more songs.

I disagree. The limitations are put so
1 - Songs are not TOO easy to complete.
2 - You don't get bored playing a song for 25 minutes.
3 - You can use the variety of music you installed into the game.

HOWEVER, I will agree with the 10+ thing. I would move it to...say, 15 or 20 at the most.
I think if I want to play Wyrd - Heathen in a Symphony game, then I should have the right to do so

The minimum time limit was placed to prevent players from using five second files or whatever and farming items. They felt this practice was against the spirit of the game.

The upper limit is due to the fact that each song played is stored on their servers for leaderboard purposes. They didn't want everybody uploading enormous files so they capped it at ten minutes.

They mentioned they might toy with these values, but no real word as to wether or not anything will be done.
Hi guys!

Yes, the minimum time limit is to prevent "item farming" and "kudos farming"-type behavior. We felt 1:30 was a good balance to allow a lot of shorter songs and keep levels at a certain minimum length.

On the upper limit front, the reason was memory usage. We have been working on ways to support longer songs and the good news is that we are now working with a new version that supports 20-minute songs and are looking to include that in the next update. We are expecting this update to go live within two months or so.

Thank you!
