Firing

I bet (I hope) that I'm missing something obvious. Do you really have to hold down the mouse button(s) non-stop to fire? With two weapons equipped for the left and right mouse buttons, I'm essentially squeezing the mouse for four - five minutes, which is hard on my hand. I can play only two or three songs in a row before my hand gets tired. For the love of the music gods, please let there be a better way of doing this...
