Black screen

I've purchased this game TWICE and it won't work!

I bought it first in the App Store and I absolutely loved it, it worked well for sometime but after a few weeks when I opened the game it would show the Amanita Design logo as it usually did, and then it would just be a black screen, nothing more than that showed up! I deleted it and redownloaded it a thousand times and it didn't work. I gave up on it for a while until today when I saw it was on the steam summer salfe for just $2.50. I thought 'oh what the hell I'll buy it again' but now there's still a black screen and the game won't start. Before you ask:

I've emailed Amanita about it quite a few times and they've never replied

I've updated everything that could possibly be updated

I have a Macbook Pro Retina '13 and I have enough storage to have the game.

I think that because engine of this game is bad, they recently made a huge update on Machinarium with new engine. And i'm pretty sure Botanicula definitely need this.
