Yes, it's definitely worth it. My son and his friend have had a blast playing it. That said, it's not just a kids game. It looks like fun; I just haven't taken the time to play it myself yet.

The game has single-player campaign and head-to-head versus modes, but I think they like playing local co-op best.

The game is very polished with excellent play mechanics and production values. It's a no-brainer purchase, especially on sale.

Yes, it is worth it. It has intuitive puzzles, and separate levels for single player and local co-op. The cut scenes are humorous. he game may one day have a level editor if the developer gets enough support, which would be awesome to be able to play user created levels. The developer is active on these forums and responsive to the community. Only con for me: the cutscenes and tutorial videos rely on Windows Media Player, which I had trouble with on one of my machines, but not the other. Also, the videos can be played from outside the game if you have trouble playing them in the game.

Yes, it is worth it. I really love this game. From watching a video review during BETA I thought it was a boring game, but I was wrong. It is fun to play locally with a friend (or 3 others) if you get that chance. (I have a wife who beat the game with me.) You will yell at each other all in good fun. Singleplayer is great too. In later levels there are a bunch of dexterity puzzles where you have to dodge a lot. The videos are great--it's funny to watch how inventions from the future go wrong.

I have enjoyed:
* Achievements - Most are fairly easy, besides some versus and 4-5 challenge level achievemenrs. (Beat level X in a certain manner.)
* Getting gold on every level
* Trying to beat your friends on the LB
* High Scoring - Trying to be 1st or close to it on certain levels.
* Local Co-op - The game shines when you play with a friend

For some people, the levels through area 3 are mostly easy (the first 1/3rd of the game) but it ramps up. Some of my favorite levels are in area 4, 5 and 6.

Also, the one time I played this game with 3 others it was a blast. This is a GREAT party game. It does support any combination of Keyboard and Gamepads.

It IS DRM free, so you can launch it from your Steam folder without having Steam running.

In regards to cons, it unfortunately doesn't have any online co-op or a level editor. But that takes $$ and for an indie game from a new developer it's something I don't expect. If we help them sell 100k+ copies I'm sure they would be open to adding it in, hah. The only other thing is that it is Windows only, so a no go for Mac or Linux.

Local coop? Instant buy. Thanks Devs!
For my full thoughts : http://monthsbehindreviews.blogspot.com/2012/12/a-virus-named-tom.html

For TL;DR:

I'd say at the current price that's a heck of a deal. The puzzles are good, and the constant addition of new mechanics allows the game to scale well in difficulty, which was originally a concern of mine because the first 2-3 zones were something I finished up so quickly.

I also like how the puzzles are difficult for a variety of reasons. It's not just all you have a limited amount of time, or this requires many moves, etc. The drones make it challenging because you have to focus on something besides just the moves you want to make, and so on.

Also, I'll say this. This is one of the few games I'd like to actually play with someone else, and that is a huge compliment coming from me. Probably less for the local co-op, and more so for the versus mode. Still, I rather enjoyed this game when I was playing it, and would definitely advise you to get it.

Since it is another Steam Sale, I thought it appropriate to bump this. Great game, go get it and infect your friends!
