What would you change?
So I'm in the middle of re-working the levels & structure for the PS Vita version of AVNT. Do you guys have suggestions? Levels you think I should replace? Mechanics you dislike? Pacing changes?

Encrypted tiles seem really polarizing so I'm swapping area 2 & 3 so that wrap around is the first new puzzle mechanic you're hit with, and I may remove a few encrypted levels. 2.05 also seems intimidating that early (the line of drones that forces you to use glitches) so I think I may move it back to later in the game.

Any other thoughts appreciated, thanks!

Get more brainwork levels, less "agility". Some levels super cool though, I loved 6.08 and hated 6.10.

I don't like some of the achievments either, as many of them require pure agility: Gold Boat, Beryllium (which could be even bugged in Linux; check this http://steamcommunity.com/app/207650/discussions/0/864980734817010949/), Adamantium Chain, etc...

Well, this is my gameplay style; I like the brainwork. It is a matter of personal taste, I guess.

Wow, I'm always afraid people are gonna hate me for 6.08, hardest level in the game IMHO. Glad you dug the challenge :)

It's tough balancing puzzle & dexterity levels, especially for those that dislike one type of the other, but good to know. Maybe it would've been better to have the game mechanics branch in areas so people could avoid areas of mechanics they didn't like. Tough to do though.

Sorry about the achievement bug in Linux

Its important to keep in mind that "Achievment Hunting" is a pretty valid gameplay style. Some people like Coop, some people like PvP, and some people like Achievments. Everybody mocks Achievment Hunters nowadays, but I remember when people would mock Coop/PvM in the early days of MMO, when everybody was in fact a PK.

Oh, I didn't mean to marginalize achievement hunting. After all, we spent a fair amount of time making the achievements: thinking up interesting new ways to play the game, adding checks to the code, creating unique, humorous icons for each one. I love people achievement hunting!

I'm genuinely sorry about the achievement bug. I just don't have a sadtom emoticon so scaredtom was the closest I could find.

Oh no, I wan't accusing you of anything. Its just sort of a general warning. There are just some devs very inconsiderate about those things (e.g. Left 4 Dead 2 has "seasonal" achievments which could be obtained only in 2012, and Civ5 has deprecated achievments which don't work anymore, etc...)

Also, super-hard multiplayer achievments are a bad thing imho: you may have several gamer friends, but they don't necessarily have OCD, or not even similar taste for games! Finding someone as determined as you to get those achievments can be much more frustrating than fun.

That's an interesting point. I guess I thought of them in an ideal world where it'd give those that played the multiplayer something new to do after finishing.
