Which one is better; Lee or Gordon?

People have been talking and saying things like Lee is the greatest videogame hero of all time, which got me thinking, is he really more awesome than Gordon Freeman?

I think Gordon Freeman is great, but I prefer Lee Everett because he has to overcome human problems in a completely unreasonable environment. Gordon Freeman is superhuman in comparison, making his achievements much less heroic.

I never cared for Freeman, too much is unexplained. But i dont think Lee is much of a hero, i'd say Clementine is. But out of the two you mentioned i'd go with Lee.

Lee's got a more solid character than Gordan Freeman over all, so I'd say that yes, Lee is better. If you were talking about the Freeman of Freeman's Mind, though...then he might have some competition.

I'd say lee as well. It's hard to love a character that never speaks. I always find it weird how no one really thinks its strange he never talks. For Lee he talks and feels like a real person, not a catalyst for the player which I feel the Gordon is.

Well the thing you have to consider is that Freeman is still alive. Lee sacrificed himself. He is most definitely the best tragic hero of video gaming next to the guy from SotC

Lee wins he sacrificed himself to save a little girl, you can choose how he acts. Freeman he must follow the entire thing not say "Ben i will not let you fall." half life freeman must watch ben die.

Well since Gordon Freeman isn't exactly a character so much as an avatar for the player to insert themselves into this isn't exactly a fair question.

Freeman doesn't even talk...in fact, we only know what he looks like because of the HL2 box art. Lee is just so much more developed (no matter how you play him) and is overall a much better CHARACTER. Still, Freeman is a complete badass. Lee's just better.

The Problem about Lee is that Lee is you. And the problem about Gordon is that Gordon is you. Hard to choose... Lee is the emotion and decision and Gordon the action... that's a tie!
