Episode 2 Black screen and white axe music only

Ok so today was my second attempt at trying to play this game. every time there is something wrong with it, first time my decisions werent carrying over. So I put the game on hold for a while.
I decided to have another play through right from the start only to find that every time I clicked on episode 2 it would start 3. then I tried rewinding and now alls i get is a black screen and white axe with music.
So ANNOYED.
When will i be able to play this game...

that was very FUNNY not... Such a comedian....
I have used google and tried removing the prefs files nothing is working, figured asking cannot hurt as this is a place for discussion is it not?? .
I have just uninstalled it and redownloading fingers crossed. somethings gotta give.

I was replaying Season 1 to get a "better" save for Season 2 to copy. When I started S1E5 I got a black screen with game audio. The "rename the Steam\SteamApps\Common\The Walking Dead\Pack\*\prefs.prop" fix worked for me. I had 3 different copies of the file.
