The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead

I hate Clementine
Not just Clementine, actually all the stupid irrational girls in this game.

Carley threatens me at the start of the game and when I choose to let her die rather than Doug, the game wants me to think that I made a bad decision. Then I find out at the end of episode 1 that only 23% choose Doug to live. Lol, Wat?

Lilly is constantly a ♥♥♥♥♥, choosing the wrong course of action at almost every turn and siding with her ♥♥♥♥ up of a father, instead of acting rationally and If you invite her back into the RV after she kills Doug she leaves you behind and runs off into the distance.

Brenda, ♥♥♥♥ing crazy ♥♥♥♥♥ who eats people, need I say more?

Molly and Christa are the only women with sense and Molly leaves. Why, just why?

And then finally, Clementine. She needs saving the most often, she talks to some ♥♥♥♥ing stranger on the phone, she cannot get into her thick skull that her parents are most likely dead, and she is responsible for Lee getting bitten. Crawford had the right idea, there is a reason why children don't survive the apocalypse, they have no place in a world where only the strong survive.

I've been frustrated by Clementine the entire game and as soon as Lee got bitten, my frustration came to a head, because of some stupid little girl, my character is going to die a meaningless death. I liked the game itself, but the idea to center it on a pathetically weak character, who has the weakest dialogue in the whole game is just silly. I'm not even going to bother to finish episode 4 or 5, because as far as I care Clementine can be eaten by walkers and in my mind that is what happens.

You do know that Clementine is only 8 years old right?
She was age 8 in A New Day and age 11 in a A House Divided. (Source below)

Still wish she wasn't part of the story and at the very least dead by the end of episode 1.

I know she is 11 but this is in the season 1 discussion, and not season 2.
True, but I thought it would still be relevant, considering she is still alive(sadly).
Spoiler: Lee survives if you cut his arm in episode 5...
Actually i disagree, maybe cause i am a father, maybe cause i am older, But if there was some event like this game, the series, and comics project. Children would be the only hope, without them there is no next generation. Not to mention giving up on the young and old like Crawford leaves you less compassionate and over all less human. In a sense becoming just as bad as the world at large.

I personally would protect children and older people in a situation like this more so then myself. I would also be less prone to shoot at a group that had a child or elderly in their midst. Would it hinder survial? probably.. but at least i would still be human.

In the beginning of the game upon meeting Clem, he did just about what i would of. Although i am bit thrown off by Clems grade, age, and at times acting younger then she is, and a moment later acting older then she should.

i havent got the season 2 yet and plan on waiting for it to complete, i learned after the first one i am too impatient to get it episode by episode, but its one of the best story driven games i have played in a long time. :D

I recommend you buy the second season just for the 2 episodes that are already released. Episode 2 from season 2 is the best episode of The Walking Dead (season 1 and 2) and has huge ties to Season 1. I recommend you play this 2 episodes now, then wait for the rest to be released and play the remaining 3 episodes when they are all released.
I actually have to agree with Jim Sterling in The Escapist (he did an outright brilliant movie on the subject), when he used Clementine as the sole example of a child being done right, not only in gaming, but better than at least 99% of children in movies and TV. And, unlike Axebyte, I'm not even a parent, and have had very little contact with children. Clementine almost never needs help compared to kids in every other game, or even 90% of women in most games (and I say that acknowledging how awful that truth is). She's also never whiney and does what is necessary to survive, without getting in other people's way. She is hardly perfect, but she's always trying to do the right thing, and she knows when and where to hide when she isn't of much use.
so it's just the women you have a problem with?
not larry leaving you to die and thinking everyone else is going to get them killed?
not kenny who thinks about just his family and is willing to screw everyone else over?
not duck who is compeltely oblivious to everything around him and got hershel's son killed?
not the brothers at the farm who were just as guilty as their mother for everything that happened?
what about ben?
what about vernon? he gained your trust and then betrayed you at the end.

there are just as many men as there are women who are annoying, whiney, stupid and irrational.

I don't know if stupid is the right word. I think that these characters are just realistic, more human. I've met a few of these people in my life (and i mean personality/mind-set wise. not the cannibalism and other apocalyptic ♥♥♥♥) and it was those kind of actions that made me feel even more for these characters than other games. Whether it was a love-or-hate relationship. Besides, i'd like to see anyone here try and survive in a post-apocalyptic world without making any mistakes along the way or venting out their anger on someone or something.

I was using stupid in a kind of broad sense. But yeah, I agree that it is realistic to a certain extent.
I can't tell if you're a troll, or just really sexist.
I hate every1 one besides Lee and Carlie. The rest of em are all a bunch of bloodsucking braindead useless leeches.
