Modding Ys - Origins

today i was wondering myself,

would it be possible to create a mod for Ys - Origins?

as far as i know, there is no mod yet and tbh i doubt there will be a mod, like ever...
but maybe someone else knows a little bit more about how the game was build and/or how to do edit stuff.

IF it's possible to edit stuff i'd really like to know how. maybe someone has some experience or at least the know-how.

what I'd like to mod is probably impossible. I thought about adding or editing "a whole" level. an area between 2 other parts of the game. (like a icy level after silent sands or whatever)
including a new backgroundsong, new textures, new objects, maybe switches and stuff and monsters.

I also thought about contacting the developers and try to ask them but i think it's probably pretty unrealistic that they respond :D


and okay i know this sounds super unrealistic and this will probably never happen, so don't gimme that, but yeah sometimes you never know...

I'd rather have a few new pieces of equipment, possibly an extra weapon or skill, and more playable characters.
