How do you save a game.Opening cut scenes are killing me.

I have had to go through 5 opening sequences unable to work out how you save.I'm so sick of being unable to skip through the cut scenes I almost don't want to have to start a new game.
I had to stop playing at the first boss.I was thinking it would auto save from there since I can't find a save key and there is no option to start from where you finished.

So please save me from this torture and explain to me how you save.Since I see a load game option there must be a method somehow.

Save at the statues. In some cases, you may need to defeat some enemies to unlock the statue. If the statue looks demonic, you may need to use an item (that's in your inventory from the beginning) to purify it, then you can use it to save.

I purified that statue prior to the first boss that those 2 hired killers summon.Once it's purified whats the actual process so you can save.Do you open your inventory and select the crystal or something?

Touch the statue and press the attack button.
