Time attack in nightmare mode- how hard?
I was wondering how hard is the nightmare mode for time attack really is. I want to get all the achievements but the time attack is the only achievment i view impossible. So how hard do you guys think it is?

If you can beat the game on nightmare mode, then you can beat boss rush on nightmare mode. Nothing really changes too much except that you will be a lower level, so doing less damage and getting hit a little bit harder. Just grind the bosses and get all of their mechanics down, and have enough time set to complete the boss rush. Some bosses will be a pain with the rng on a specific character, so be ready for that and just grind until you get it. Look up videos on how other people do a specific boss if you come across any problems as well, you may find strats that will help you out quite a bit.

Boss Rush on nightmare is basically nightmare story mode except they put you around a same level as the boss. No blessing. An equipment is only at level 1 except weapon. It depends entirely on certain people, some people may find it impossible but some people are so good that they think this game is just a cakewalk for them. For me it's hard but I managed.

Still it's still impossible to achive every achivements due to one buggy achievement. So basically I completed all of them but the game didn't give this one buggy achievement to me. Even I completed a game 12 times. This achievement called The Uncivil war, one of the hidden achievement in game.

Uncivil War is buggy for certain users but not globally impossible. Global stats have it about even with other general completion.

Nightmare Boss Rush is generally a bit harder than Story. Origin's story dungeons will often leave you a touch over level for a boss and blessings are easy to get, so the Boss Rush often feels like a slight handicap when it forces you down and strips blessings. It doesn't sound like much, but many of the later fights like Kishgal and Dalles are tuned to be a bit messy, and Nightmare inflates level discrepancy modifiers -- a single level's difference usually means you're doing a good 30% more damage and taking a good 30% less.

Oddly, Oath is the opposite. Dungeons would often leave you under level (especially lava zone), and gear upgrades were really expensive and you could rarely afford them all before running across the next set. So it felt a bit easier when Boss Rush brought you up to level and gave you upgrades.

It's long and hard as hell, but by no means impossible. The only reason I don't have it is because the last bosses are graphically intensive and I frameskip a lot (the True Final Boss is pretty much unplayable on higher difficulties with low-end machines). Don't be afraid to leave it on the Retry menu and tab out to take a break or leave it for the night.

Nope. Oath was incredibly harder in Time Attack. At least for me, because if I see that I can still level up in a short period of time (like, 5 mins of farming), I'll do it. I still managed it though. But THIS GAME? 8 ♥♥♥♥ING TIMES? JESUS CHRIST! I only did it with Oath Adol for now, since I was super used to him, and I'm gonna probably do it with Toal next. Hugo and Yunica seem like such a hassle. Damn, it's gonna be frustrating :(

Oath Time Attack is easier if for no other reason than because it doesn't have Kishgal. At least Chester's opening is reliable and you have a better guard move to fall back on.

Am I the only one who think that the hardest boss is Zava's minion in Rado Annex (excluding the True last boss). With Yunica you can barely approch him. As for Hugo, it isn't hard at all.

I second that... dodge lightnings, whirlwinds, flame tongues etc... and as soon as you actually close in for a hit, that .... just teleports to safety. Jump, run and charged phoenix. I can't describe how fortunate I felt not having to fight that one as Toal.

Spamming phoenix is just too long

Use whirlwind when he's at the edge or when the statues circle up. Jump in with bolt crash when he's in the middle -- it blocks just long enough to jump back out unharmed. Fight goes much, much faster ^^

Toal would've been longer but easier. The boss resists fire, but fire spin is just a way better guard move to begin with so you could be more aggressive with it.

I forget if Origin has something like Oath's down-stab + spell thing going on. If it does, you could down-stab him and cancel the impact animation with wind dash to escape.

Thanks, I might try that if I do Nightmare Boss Rush
