Cannot find steam client
Hey just a heads up for anyone considering this game, looks cool, however, I have never been able to get it working - running Win7 64b /w good gaming rig, support could not help me and the only solution is a reformat. Will update after next reformat if it works.

I'm running this game on Windows 7-64b, i7-920, 6GB.

You may need to install one of the following:

(try first)
2010 vc++ 32bit[www.microsoft.com]

(alternatives)
2010 vc++ 64bit[www.microsoft.com]
2010 vc++ SP1 64bit[www.microsoft.com]

First two did not install (newer version detected). Ran the SP1, repaired, restarted, problem still persists. Only game that doesn't work.

Even with the newer version detected, you still need the 2010 libraries. Are you able to install anyway?

It's the 32bit libraries you need, not the 64, and without them, the game will not work.

I have already attempted (and just attempted again for good measure) uninstalling and reinstalling both x86 -> x64 libraries, restarted steam, verifified game cache; same issue.
It must be something with my computer :/ Reformat, here I come.

Go to your Steam directory, and copy "steam.dll". Paste it into the Cubemen folder. That should fix the problem.

Yeah, it's not the steam.dll that it cant find, but the bridge to the Steamworks plugin that connects Cubemen to the client.

We will try to move to a newer plugin in a future update to see if we can hard link the libraries and prevent this whole requirement of having the VC redist installed at all.
