How to Get High Scores?
I really love Cubemen, I'm glad I picked it up, especially since it only cost me a few dollars.

However, I'm really competitive in games, and for some reason I feel like I am not doing the best I can.

For instance, I normally get around 7500 points give or take, on the Defense map "Arrow." (The first map)

I can see the top score for that map is 99000+, well above where I am. I'm positive the way to get to higher scores is to create a nice long combo chain, potentially chaining every single enemy Cubeman.

I'm having a lot of trouble setting up reliable combos though. Can anyone help me? I've tried several different strategies on "Arrow" and I always get pretty much the same score. I feel like I can't get any better because I can't think of the correct way to get a good combo...

TL;DR - Anyone who can score 10,000 or better on Arrow, care to share your strategy?

I just noticed, apparently the highest few scores are likely hacked with some kind of trainer. Hopefully the developer figures out how to prevent or punish those users... Unfortunately I'm afraid it's something that would require a lot of work, depending how exactly the game is made.

In my opinion, the legitimacy of the scores is very important for the credibility and longevity of the game.

When players cheat online, it completely removes all the fun from it. I'd hate to see Cubemen continue to be contaminated with their poison. It's still fun, but I want to be number one at something, and will never be that if I'm against cheaters...

So, let me rephrase my original question:

Who has the highest legitimate score on Arrow? If you think it might be you, post your score and (if you feel generous) your strategy!

Yeah they are hacked, it's pretty easy to do.

Killer Kirby... can you email me offline if you are away of some hacks to cheat... maybe I might be able to add some code to counter them. Thanks :-)

I haven't personally tried to hack it but people have made trainers to cheat your score as such. I will look around for a link to help

Lots of scoreboards on games I play are not real. I don't know why people do it. I guess to show they can.
SeonR, I just sent an e-mail via the Contact form on your website (

It contained a little information about the types of cheats people have available to them... Hopefully there is some relevant information in there. I don't mean to complain, you've got a great game here... But I hate to see the high score boards ruled by hackers.
Any updates against hackers? I just got cubemen today and i saw those huge scores, impossibile to do that by legal ways...

I've just cleared some of the worst of the scores out again, but I have clearly lost the fight against the tools out there that allow cheating.

The harder I push, the more chance legitimate scores will also get rejected.

Tryed Arrow with only 3 Grill's and result is around 8k, when the top score is 90k+

Yup, still cheating going on, Maybe it's time to clear the entire scores database?

But was wondering, as dev, maybe you know, or there is a way for you to know, which score can be the best on each level?
Too many difference -> Pop-up on level result -> "Your score is (almost) impossible to get, so he won't figure on the leaderboard - If you did it legitaly, please send your explaination/video at"
But might be hard to put in place too, so I don't know :)

There are too many factors in many levels to really work out an exact max score. Like levels with packages etc, but yes I could work out a rough max, but I am not sure that would work properly.

And the max score calc could only be done on Defense games.

I definitely think a pop-up on level result is not the way to go though, sorry. If a user can hack a score, they can bypass a prompt.

As a test, reach 8120 on Arrow with 3 Grill's (since it was the level post as an example on the thread)... Still wondering how you can reach 99k+ on that level xD

Anyway, I like to see devs taking care of their games, that's nice :)
why entire database is not wiped out yet? You do realise that only few people are playing this game since sequel was released and thus no one will hack again since game is not popular....
