The graphics are great, the character models are excellent, the moves look incredible, and the sounds are sublime.
So why is this game so atrocious?
Balance. There is no balance. More than 80% of the time your going to be against one of two kinds of people; The people that spam the jump button and do nothing but use ranged attacks, or the people who spam one of several incredibly obnoxioius, uncounterable, unblockable, unavoidable moves. They can spam these because there is no penalty for spamming in this game. Most games of this genre such as Rakion often balance "overpowered" moves by giving them incredibly long windup times, insanely long cooldowns, very narrow hitboxes, or extraordinary openings after the attack finishes, allowing a skilled player to counter and gain the advantage.
But in this game, every single character has an ability that is nigh-on unbeatable, and this essentially leads to a "Who shoots first" scenario much like the newer call of duties, where skill stops being a factor and mere twitch reaction is required to win.
This is about as much of a "fighting" game as Candy Crush is a "strategy" game. Shallow and repetitive.
I played about 12 games, and that was just about all I needed to make an enlightened decision on how un-fun this game was.
You might like it, but I sure as hell didn't.
