Ward Wall - Netherdale

Not sure what to call this and even thought twice before posting. I can't make up my mind what I think so I figured I'd post and let the devs decide.

On the Netherdale map there are two rocky pillars in the middle of the lava pits that feature regular RP powerups. I saw someone today building a wall around one of these pillars using wards. Now thats all good and well but heres the thing. unless you jump perfectly you will hit the ward wall and fall into the lava.

Is this an interesting tactical use for wards or is it unintentional behaviour? I'm leaning toward the former but *shrug* I dunno...
