Rank reset?

I just leveled up to an Adept 1 last night and I restarted the game and it said "Error connecting to steam." I restarted the game to find that my rank was reset. Is there a way to restore it?

Did you try restarting Steam? Also, is it set to a level lower or to level 1?

I tried restarting steam and my rank is still as it is. I started to level again but it's pretty annoying as it might happen again. It was set to level 1.

Did Steam go through any sort of patching process before you started that game? Or after starting did it instantly give you a connection error?

I'm not sure if the game was updated or not; however, the game did give me an error instantly after I started the game up again. Thanks for the input everyone.

Rank reset does not do anything. A person can still kick your ass at low level. It's not like a MMO its just a shooter. You got characters to pick thru. If you don't like it go else where.

Hi, i'm not understanding your point in your statement. I like working towards something in a game, whether it be achievements or rank and my work was hindered because of the reset. I'm just wondering if this is a thing that happens often so I should only go for achievements.

Personally I think people should be able to appreciate and enjoy a game they way the want to play it. After, that is what is going to make it the most fun.
