High ping/ no lag compensation?
i usually have a ping of 200ms. The games i play generally have lag compensation so 200ms does not bother me.

i'm very interested in archeblade and really want to play it but there is no lag compensation. Meaning, i have to predict where my enemy "will be" rather where "they are". So this makes it very difficult for me to play.

So i was wondering that if the Developer decide to add lag compensation to Archeblade. If not, then can we have servers in south asia, because they have pings below 100ms.

i did saw 2 servers of ping 70ms and 85ms but then they disappeared

It will probably be in eventually down the road.

lag compensation is a bad way of doing things

Well that's rude. It actually is a problem because there should be more players in this game and if they can't play normally they won't join. That means less purchases and less purchases will make it harder to keep this game alive. And if you had a location problem you would probably ask the same.

How do you compensate lag in an action game????

Just learn to abuse your lag, they can't hit you either :p

Its a way to design your code.

It all depends on how it's handled. Some games do it very well. I can't really give examples, because I don't remember. I just know that well-done lag compensation systems do exist.

Since you apparently know, how do you do it? How do you counter the fact that everyone is at a different place in the game?

I can only think of two possibilities, you either hit where you see them, or you hit where they will be.

The former means likely the other person will be phantom hit, the latter means they were hit visually.
You can't have both, personally phantom hits drive me nutty, so I prefer the prediction method.

Definetly prediction method. Why are the people with decent ping punished by having to play against people that will just phantom hit you because they have a high ping rate..... F logic right?

people with high ping have this disadvantage of predicting where the player will be. while people with low ping just have to hit the enemy where they are. If the enemy is moving then its very hard to hit them if you a high ping.

this is not fair

If the opponent is lagging, its affecting people with low ping aswell. When ever i hit somebody with high ping he will flinch but still move away from me. And why in hell would you play a speed and reaction timed game with high ping? Sure you can do it, but don't whine about you not being able to as much as you could with low ping. Just host your own server and wait for people to join you.

And what do you mean with not fair? Like i already said, host your own server or find one with low ping.

If they will ever put in any kind of lag compensation, i will never touch this game EVER AGAIN. Its fine as it is. People shouldn't get rewarded for having ♥♥♥♥ connections or living far away in a third world country.

I don't even know what lag compensation is, but they better not ever do that.

You'd be better off calling this game Lagblade, every game I go into is just lag all over the place.
I mean it says US server but I feel like Im playing in an African server or something.
And I KNOW it's not my net, because my net isn't poop.
