people whining about ganging up in team games.
If you can't see a gank coming, then why are you even playing team matches? Am i wrong here or should i let my opponent get free hits on my team mates? Actually being serious here.

Seriously, what. I get this too. People complaining about ganging up in a team game...

I mean, if you're obviously out numbered in the match, like 4 to 1, it's good sportsmanship to do 1v1 fights at a time.

But when it's an equal, or almost equal number at start (4v4), then everything is game. People shouldn't be complaining about ganging up when it's a TEAM game.

It's not just about them ganging up. If you don't choose a ranged character in a 4v4 (This doesn't apply for that game mode where you capture the points), then you run out there and get everyone on you (Mostly when you're the best player on you're team, too). While your "team" just sits back and does nothing. I don't agree with the good sportsmanship thing. You're trying to win. As long as you don't use exploits win the game, then I'm fine with whatever else you do to win. That's something that could be fixed by making the levels a little smaller in 4v4's.

I agree. I paid for renoah and elrath because they are my favorite characters, but if i use em i get ganged up on at the start of the match. i mean wtf is that. i dont mind getting ganged up on, like ppl said thats the point of team matches, but when you cant use the characters you pay for just because they have ranged moves thats bull. i think its mainly because of the ppl that sit back and spam the ranged moves but i dont and i still get ganged. thats the only thing that ♥♥♥♥es me off.

No offense guy, but it sounds like you need more practice with dealing with melee. Renoah and Elrath are both fairly strong melee characters, even if it doesn't seem like it at first. At the very least you should be able to avoid the people teaming up on you until your teammates distract 1-2 of the people chasing you.

Tip: If you're playing as Renoah and someone insists on forcing you into melee combat then empty your clip and use her L-R combo. It's actually pretty devastating. Tiac is pretty rough for Renoah to deal with, but most others should be well within your ability.

And Elrath. Don't get me started on Elrath. You can Teleport all over as her, even up onto ledges. You should never be in an unfavorable position as Elrath, and even then her Melee Capabilities are even stronger than Renoahs.

Outplaying any tank with elrath like a sir. I consider her to be thr most fun character to play atm, along with valle. definetly the most balanced characters on night undersiege.

Was going to say! I don't have that much of an issue on either fighting in melee. Renoah and her tricky kicks. Elrath is just so damn strong in melee. So so quick. You can take advantage of every opening.

Logically when the teams are equal there is not much reason to complain. Then again the 4v1's are getting old quick. I sit out allot of times when the teams are unbalanced. Not always tho depends allot who i'm playing against. If they played 4vs2 the round before i see no reason to sit out in 2vs3.

I played a ♥♥♥♥load of these fighting games in the past and maybe i'm just old fashioned that way, but sitting out is the honorable thing to do.

What is the use of fighting with 3 really good players against 1 good player and a newbie ? The newbie will go rage at the forums again or better even never touch the game again, since the "pro's" couldn't hold back for once...

Ganging up is jsut another way of saying that the team is operating in a synergy. It gets frustrating when your team isn't, and your oponents are, and you play the one they focus (I tend to play Elika, Renoah, and Sewon so trust me I know all about getting focused).

It's just part of the game. Deal with it and do your best to get your team to synergise as well or rage out and come back to fight another day. Whatever floats your boat at the time I guess.

You just gotta love picking elika on steamcanal and seeying your team ALL picking runner/ranged chars. Not to mention they have no idea that these chars can actually melee to help you out of a tight spot.

I have stood in the corner for so many times blocking 3 people with their back open to attack only to see a friendly gaspar comming that started to "shoot" in their backs ...... 1 bullet at a time ....Yeah thanks allot for the help matey ... That will show em...

if i'm in the team that has more players, i sit out. There is no fun in winning a match you know you can't lose (like a 4v1) and the lonely enemy player will also get tired of fighting in rounds he has no chance of winning.
It would be cool to be able to switch teams mid game (only if you switch to the less populated team).

it`s the same when i encounter a 1v1 with a new player that has little knowledge about the game. I try to be "softer" and use the basic concepts (like blocking a lot or punishing careless attack whiffs) so that he sees the benefits of NOT button mashing. No fun in roflstomping a player who just started the game and make him ragequit, I don't get any kind of satisfaction from that. I'd rather show him the ropes and get a potential new fan.

if both teams have an equal number of players at the start of the round, then everything is valid.

Well, if you really want to be a jerk, you could just 4v1 the first rank 1 you see... Or... You could be a decent player and let the less experienced players kind of fight each other and you sit out until there is a winner. It is a common courtesy to do this. And as far as the whole Renoah/Elrath getting ROFL stomped, you just need to practice timing when you need to Jump+R+R and pistol shots. I also find that if you enough RP to spare, and you can get a little distance, use this -> Alt+R Then you can have an instant sniper shot on them and continue ticking their health. Renoah is a waiting kind of character. She is an assassin, after all.

As soon as we have some sort of 1v1 or 2v2 gamemode this will probably be less of a problem. Right now, getting ganked is annoying because there isn't much you can do about it. Some characters can't even get away properly. But at its core it's a team problem. They need to be there to back you up.

In cases of stacked teams, I always hang back as I know it isn't any fun to be ganked as you are usually completely unable to defend yourself, let alone fight back properly. It's different if teams are equal and you are just out of position or out of luck.
