NetherDale - Still Lagging
After the last 2 patches I have not been able to play on NetherDale for more than 5 minutes before it becomes a slideshow. Any update on this?

i5 2500K @ both stock and 4.5, no difference, does not go above 50C under load
8GB, 16GB, and 24GB RAM configs
5 SSDs, game has been loaded onto both a RAID-0 and single SSD config
7950 @ both stock and 7970 speeds, no difference, does not go above 60C under load
55/20Mbps connection

As I said, two patches ago, I started to have this issue. I was told it was a known issue however.

Thanks

It looks like it's just doing it for some people despite their specs.
Mine is pretty nubby and after awhile it drops a few frames (becomes around 40 fps from an average of 50) but it doesn't affect me much and is still playable. Seems like an issue that'll take awhile to fix for everyone...

Memory leaks. :/

Word. It seems the longer the match drags on the worse it gets. Oh well, still my favorite map regardless!

@Tekka
If you have Fraps, check your framerate during your game play. If it does not drop below 40, that means that your computer is performing well and what you experience is most likely lag on the serverside of a full load (14/14). I usually get a consistent 60 fps and sometimes still feel "sluggish" in Netherdale. I could be wrong but this is just my guess from my experience while playing. So most likely the fix will be on serverside and no so much clientside. *shrugs*

Thanks for all the info folks. My guess is memory leak, but the memory usage on my end is not abnormal.

@Disc,

The game becomes a slideshow at best. I am familiar with the effect you speak of though. I've seen that through my years of gaming, but this is a different effect, I believe. DXtory (not recording, but used as an FPS counter) shows a constant 60+ FPS and once it hits that 5-10 minute mark, it drops to 0-2 FPS. Sad!

The memory leak was supposedly from the voice chat feature of unreal 3 going off in netherdale, however the update that said it was fix did not fix it (they had to ask the unreal engine devs for help with this issue too)

Ah gotcha. Best of luck to them!
