Pretty good. Styled after an old school dungeon crawler game you have a party adventuring through corridors in first person moving from tile to tile. You can use a premade party or a custom made party and set forth. It is pretty hard. You start with no gear, spells or items, you have hunger bars to watch all the time and puzzles can be tricky.
Thereare 0 tutorials and from what I can tell, no-in game help tools. It'd be nice having stats and equipment types explained in game, and you might learn the formation mechanic the hard way - the 2 people in back cannot hit unless the weapon has reach, or is ranged. However they can still be hit by an enemy on your side or from behind and you can only attack the enemy you are facing. A simple tutorial or help book would have gone an extremely long way.
Difficulty ramp up is kinda screwey to be honest. A few weak guys in this room, generic room after turns out to be a trap, 4 guys that are all each twice as strong as previous weak guys combined AAAAAND you're dead :(
Still it's worth a look, and as of writing this I do need to spend more time with it. Interested to see changes made in the second one.
