Any News On Major Fix????
Does anyone know if a patch exist to address a major flaw in the game as to crashing computer? I bought this game when it first released and everytime I started it it not only crashed but forced the computer down, (computer crash). I was able within seconds before it would crash turn off and lower video features to get this game to run. However it would still crash after playing for hours.

This is not a computer spec issue, this is a game issue. I was wondering if any patch has been released to fix this problem? I really want to install and run this game again simply for the user created content.

No, it's not a game issue. It's either your system or it's configuration.

Sounds a lot like your graphics card overheats really fast which leads to a system crash. Most of the time activating VSYNC fixes things; LoG even offers this inside the options menu. In case it doesn't help you check the cooling effectivness of your graphics card when it's under stress (i.e. with FurMark) and the driver settings.
As soon as I run the game it crashes the computer. There's not enough time for the video card to overheat we're talking within seconds. I do believe VSYNC might be the issue it rings a bell. It's been a long time since I've ran the game but I kind of remember either turning that feature off or on to help stabilize the game.
Now if you had the game running in the past .. did you eventually swap your graphics card or updated your drivers? I know that LoG has issues with Antialiasing enabled so you should either disable any Antialiasing or set it to "Use Application setting".
No, what I did in the past was within the few seconds after running LoG before it crashed the computer was change video options one at a time. Usually I could only change one option at a time before it crashed. After a few changes then it would run a little longer which then I could make the rest of the changes.

Then I could acutally play LoG but after a few hours it would crash the computer. That crash was related to overheating the video card. I need to upgrade the card regardless but lack the money to do so right now. I only have an ATI Radeon 4850 card which runs alot of games but LoG isn't a graphic's heavy game so it is hair pulling.
It may not look like but LoG >>IS<< a graphic heavy game. It requires a lot of GPU power to render all those light and shadow effect for up to 60 FPS. Get the latest video driver for your card and reset all settings to default or "Use Application default". Then use a benchmark like FurMark to verify your card is working fine.

If a new driver and settings reset does not fix your problem you either need to resolve that cooling issue or a new card.
Yeah I agree need a new card just going to have to scrape the cash to get one.
