Too many puzzles = boring game, any mods with less puzzles?
I enjoy combat, collecting equipment and exploring but the game seems to be 90% puzzles and as such just not my cup of tea. IF it were 80% combat and 20% puzzles I could handle that but as it stands I just get bored after awhile running in circles or looking online like most of you to avoid the food drainage that occurs from running around too much.

The Vanilla game is just boring from all the puzzles, is there a mod which is mostly fighting and exploring?

Get Dragon Age, you'll enjoy it. Dragon Age is like Baldur's Gate in 3D. And for the mod's: there are plenty at the workshop, download as many as you wish and give them a try.

Any suggestions on mods which are less puzzle oriented?

I use two mods:

1: The Eye Of The Beholder - by Nicholas Hadrian (5 Stars Rating)
2: Tombs Of Winterfell - by Leki (4 Stars Rating)

However, I cannot tell if they are less puzzle orientated or not since I've played them only for some minutes, but they seem to be very promising.

Good advice, but I must specify: The FIRST Dragon Age. Stay far, far away from the second. Bioware went completely to crap after the first one and it shows.

Im disapointed too with real-time combat and no random encounter, also puzzle too heavy for dungeon crawler game.

I despise people like you.

before all the hate-comments start pouring-in, let me clarify a few things.

1) I didn't intend to offend anyone. it was late, and I was tired and angry because my Basketball team lost. so @Hurk and @Ultros - if you were offended, then I'm sorry.

2) Legend Of Grimrock IS a puzzle-based game. the puzzles are part of the game's core even more than the monsters are. and most of the user-content (maps) I know of also follow this rule.
there are some "unconventional" maps - like "Cows On Wheels" and "Toorum's Quest" - you can try, but all in all you won't enjoy Grimrock if you don't enjoy solving increasingly hard puzzles. and that includes both the vanilla game and like 80% of Workshop maps.
that's what I really meant by saying, this game isn't for you.

That's better.

Please avoid going "lol gb2cod u just 2 dumb 4 this gaem xD" in the future, as it reeks of elitism and is not nice to anyone, including yourself.

It might be odd, but for me, the main reason I love Grimrock is it has lots of puzzles... I think it's better. I love exploration-only games, such as Metroid series, but some puzzles are really good.

I thought the puzzles were fantastic, solving them felt EXTREMELY rewarding! Everything in the dungeon seems to have a purpose and it all comes together brilliantly.

SORRY :) I forgot!

Of course Dragon Age: Origins + DLC's :D (first episode) ..I would never recommend the second episode since it has evolved into a pure Hack'n'Slay game.

yes.
the mod you are looking for is called Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 5. it'll be out next year, with the same damn everything.

seriously, Grimrock isn't for you.
you were probably not born yet, when the games it's based on were made.

I'm not gonna lie, I laughed at this.

As much as I love Grimrock, I do agree with you. The amount of puzzles is mind boggling.

Considering this game is based off games like Eye of the Beholder the amount of puzzles in it felt just right though there could have been more. As some of the posters have already said, you guys probably arn't old enough to remember the games that LoG is based off of.

Apparently you are the ADD kiddie here. I posted my age and then you go ahead and post this idiotic theory only based on my dislike for the number of puzzles in the game.
