Wired Xbox 360 controller not working :P

Before the new update my xbox 360 controller worked fine, but afterwards it doesn't work at all, when I press the steam overlay button, nothing, when I move the sticks and d-pad in game nothing is registered. I tried using the guide made by the devs but it also didn't help. It still doesn't work.
