Also, the fact EA gets rated as the worst company in America (or the world? I forget which), shows how messed up the gaming community is.
I wasn't a fan of how he came across in the doc or his twitter account, but he never deserved all that abuse.
this thread pretty much explains http://steamcommunity.com/app/224760/discussions/0/864978109797422068/#p1
The Canadian government doles out subsidies to indie games companies to develop games, money wasn't a big issue (how else was he able to spend so long on a game?).
Other indie game developers were under similar levels of stress, Jon Blow was also another easy target for trolls and griefers, the difference is that they managed keep their behaviour in check. Phil couldn't.
That's definately one side of it, but he does act without thought. A prime example is in the Special Edition when they have a conference with the stars of IGTM. Poor asian guy walks up to the mic and asks what he thinks of Japanese games and Phil outright says they suck. I can see both sides of it but man, Phil is an ass.
Well, I mean I do also feel bad for him but he did kinda bring everything on himself
but that annoyed gamer dude?
spouting hate and ♥♥♥♥ just because someone don't answer his question?
I really don't see any reason to support what he does
apart from wanting to troll Fish or something similar
Jon and Phil were happy to talk about indie games to almost anyone in the media, not their fault they are so sought after, Braid and Fez did win a boatload of awards and sold very well. The fact they refused to indulge Markus tells you more about Markus then "Blowfish".
The trolls have achieved what they wanted: they've caused havoc, and they have gone and sought other people on the internet to pester now...
Watch the movie, fish even goes on about how we would kill himself if his game did not sell well... The guy is a nut job.
Fish did nt just refuse Markus questions, he was very rude about it.
I believe whatever it is Beer deserves it
