Family Friendly Version
Does the Steam release include the profanity free option included with the physical copies? Wanted to know because of the sale going on.

♥♥♥♥ it why do you need profanity free? Kids will learn soon enough!

Not sure if there is a censored version though.

I understand that at some point people hear profanity. And that this is a more realistic setting in which swearing is understandable. But my friends and I aren't really keen on the swearing. Granted I watched the whole thing on Netflix and was touched by it. But I still would have preferred no profanity (which is on the physical copies).
On the official twitter page, one of the directors answered me and said it is only on the limited physical copies. I am buying on Steam though ($5 vs $45).
And in case people didn't know, the physical copies not only have the physical extras, but even more content that the digital versions don't have. Thought it might help others in a purchasing decision.

I would certainly prefer a profanity-free version. It will make it possible for me to show this to people whose objection to profanity is even stronger than mine.

Hi Guys,

The Family-friendly version is currently available either through physical copies or digitally (Download or Stream) over on our site: IndieGameTheMovie.com [buy.indiegamethemovie.com]

Unfortunately, we are unable to include it in the Steam package due to size concerns. Including the alternate version would add another 2-3 GBs to an already hefty package-size.

If it helps at all, I created a coupon code for 50% off over on IndieGameTheMovie.com [buy.indiegamethemovie.com]for this thread. You can use the code 'FamilyFriend' for the discount.

Cool. Just so you know, the link has a "." in front of Indie so it doesn't bring up the website.

Do you think that you can make it a free or paid DLC? Then people can choose to download the whole movie again or not. We do understand that you want to save some stuff for the boxset though.

@joejoe Unfortunately we can't do that too easily. We do have it included for free on our site and on the physical set. If you'd like, feel free to get in touch through our website and I'll hook you up with a free copy/access on our site.

Thank you very much for the offer, but I wouldn't watch the Family Friendly version myself. I was just curious if it was an option.
